FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Does The Process Work?
Leander Alterations is a mobile alterations business that specializes in working with small retail stores. Clothiers that do not have the space, staff, or budget for a tailor but still need alteration services for clients now have a convenient solution.

Call, Text, or Email us anytime to inquire about our tailoring services. We primarily serve businesses in the Leander and Cedar Park area, however we are sometimes able to pick up in other areas depending on availability and timeline.
How Long Do Alterations Take?
We typically have a two week turnaround from pick up date for most alterations. More complicated or large orders will take longer, typically 3-4 weeks.  Expedited orders can be taken on a case by case basis for an additional charge.
How Much Do Alterations Cost?

This depends on what type of work you need done, and to what type of garment. Pricing is done on a case by case basis, however if you send us an email with pictures and a description of what you need altered, and we can usually give a rough estimate on cost. We are not able to give an exact price quote until we are able to see the garments in person and what alterations are required.

How Much Is Delivery?
We offer free pickup and delivery to businesses within the city of Leander with a 78641 zip code. Any other locations are subject to a delivery charge of a minimum of $20. Please note that we primarily service the Leander/Cedar Park/Liberty Hill area, and some locations we are not able to serve.
How Can I Contact You?
We are available 24/7 via email or text. Phone calls and voice messages will be answered in the order they are received. For the fastest response, please send us a text message at 512-806-1614
Do The Clothes Need To Be Clean To Be Worked On?
Yes. We are not able to work on garments that are not clean due to health concerns. Newly purchased suits or dry-clean only garments do not need to be dry-cleaned, but we always recommend washing and drying any new clothing before having it altered. Sometimes the cleaning process will change the way a garment fits, so it is necessary to wash and dry something before having it adjusted in any way. Jeans and any cotton clothing especially experience shrinkage during the first wash and we recommend they are always washed and dried at least one time prior to alterations.
Will You Do the Fittings for My Business?
Yes and no. Typically garments are marked by the business and we do not do the fittings. We charge $60 per hour to work on-site with your clients or provide additional fitting training for your employees.  A complimentary 45 minute fitting class is available to every business we work with to ensure your staff is fully trained on the proper marking techniques.
What Are Your Business hours?
We work by appointment only, please contact us to set an appointment.
